Shotgun Jag Instructions:

Screw the Bore Tech Shotgun Jag onto the cleaning rod.
Spike a patch over the spear point attempting to pierce the patch near the centre. (See Effigy 1).
Apply cleaning solvent until patch is saturated.
Insert Jag into breach end of the barrel and slowly push button through entire length of the barrel.
NOTE: When resistance is encountered near the terminate of the barrel due to the reduced diameter of a asphyxiate, begin rotating the rod in a clockwise management while applying a slight frontwards pressure. This allows you to ease the jag through the restricted asphyxiate area. (Encounter Figure 2)
Next, thoroughly brush the butt with cleaning solvent to loosen fouling that has adhered to the barrel walls.

These work as advertised. They requite excellent patch-to-bore contact through the entire pass. Then, whether applying solvent or removing solvent/crud, y'all get results. Really does speed and improve bore cleaning. I've found the little cherry-red spear-tip occasionally breaks off. It'southward no big deal -- only centre the patch on the jag and it nevertheless works fine.

The best way to clean your shotgun. This product insures positive bore contact and saves cleaning patches. I've been using these for years and I clean after every fourth dimension I hunt. Makes the chore easy. I would highly recommend it.

Wouldn't clean without them 5 of 5 stars

Started using these a couple of years ago. They are astonishing. I've got them for both my 12 and xx gauges. They brand the barrel cleaning process actually easy. As mentioned in an before review, they're tough to button through a full asphyxiate tube, merely I remove those and use a regular slotted jag for them. For anything other than that, I've institute them indispensible. Whether you cut your own patches (which I often do out of flannel) or utilise commercial ones, they always make complete contact with every bit of the diameter, even if the patch is a little small. I tin't imagine cleaning shotguns on a regular ground without them.
